Spark invisible braces are a state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment method, intended to correct dental alignment anomalies by using transparent braces, known as Spark braces. Indicated in the treatment of various forms of malocclusion, including patients with diastemas, dental crowding or inverted occlusions, Spark braces are an alternative to traditional treatments with fixed orthodontic braces.

What are SPARK invisible braces?

Spark is an innovative orthodontic system that uses transparent trays made of an advanced polymer with superior clarity to other systems on the market to straighten teeth. The treatment involves wearing the braces continuously, preferably for at least 22 hours a day, until the desired position of the teeth is achieved. Each series of braces is worn for approximately 1-2 weeks, depending on the orthodontic plan.

When are the SPARK invisible braces recommended?

The Spark invisible dental braces are recommended in a number of specific cases, generally when the patient wants a positive result in the shortest possible time or when the patient, for various reasons, cannot make it to medical visits frequently. Spark aligners are also suitable for patients who prefer discreet orthodontic treatment, given that Spark aligners are almost invisible.

What dental conditions can be treated with SPARK invisible braces?

With Spark invisible braces, a wide range of orthodontic conditions can be treated. These include:

- crowded teeth (in cases where the teeth do not have enough space on the arch);

- spaced teeth (the opposite situation, when there is too much space between the teeth);

- open occlusion (when the upper and lower teeth do not touch when closing the mouth);

- reverse occlusion (the lower teeth are positioned before the upper ones);

- deep covered occlusion (the upper teeth excessively cover the lower ones);

- cross occlusion (one or more teeth are crossed against the opposite arch).

Advantages of the SPARK dental braces

The Spark invisible dental braces have multiple advantages, both from a functional and aesthetic point of view. The most important are:

- the mouthguards can be removed by the patient during meals and dental hygiene;

- low risk of staining;

- medical checks are performed at less frequent intervals, of 2-3 months, compared to other dental braces, which require more frequent visits to the orthodontist;

- the device is almost invisible;

- does not involve dietary restrictions;

- does not inflame the gums;

- does not affect speech;

- reduced risk of tooth decay.

Disadvantages of SPARK dental braces

Despite its many advantages, the Spark invisible brace have some limitations:

- the costs of treatment with the Spark braces are generally higher than those of traditional dental braces, due to the advanced technology used in their production, but also to the high-quality materials used;

- the appliance is not suitable for all orthodontic problems.

Types of SPARK invisible braces

The SPARK dental braces are available in several variants, each adapted to the needs and complexity of the patient's orthodontic case.

Spark 10 dental braces

The Spark 10 is the entry level of mouthguard treatment, intended for patients with mild to moderate malpositions. The name "SPARK 10" reflects the number of mouthpieces in the set (10) used to perform orthodontic corrections. Treatment with SPARK 10 is indicated in cases of mild dental crowding, diastemas (spaces between teeth) and other simple anomalies.

Spark 20 dental braces

Spark 20 is recommended for patients who require more complex tooth movements and orthodontic correction of medium severity. In his case, the braces are designed to achieve controlled and sequential movements of the teeth, involving a longer and more detailed treatment than that achieved with the Spark 10. Spark aligners 20 is indicated in cases of cross occlusions, moderate open occlusions or more crowded teeth complex.

Spark Advanced dental braces

Spark Advanced represents the most advanced level of treatment available in the Spark range, intended for patients with severe dento-maxillofacial anomalies and complex malpositions. The Spark Advanced series braces are designed to perform precise and complex orthodontic movements and are suitable for patients requiring major correction of occlusion or tooth alignment. The name "Advanced" reflects the high degree of customization and precision offered by this system, which uses advanced digital technology to gradually and effectively shape and correct teeth.

SPARK dental braces - Stages of orthodontic treatment

Treatment with Spark mouthguards follows a series of well-structured steps designed to ensure dental correction

Consultation and digital intraoral impression

The first step in treatment with Spark braces consists of a detailed orthodontic consultation, during which the orthodontist assesses the general condition of the teeth and occlusion. A clinical examination is performed and treatment goals are established. During the initial consultation, the patient will have a digital impression of the teeth, using an advanced intraoral scanner.

Creation of the orthodontic file

After the digital impression, a complete orthodontic file is created, which includes all relevant information for treatment planning. The file includes:

- panoramic radiographs and teleradiographs (to evaluate the position of teeth and bone structures);

- intraoral and extraoral photos of the patient's smile and profile;

- analysis of the 3D digital model created on the basis of the impression, in order to precisely identify the necessary dental movements.

The orthodontic file is used by the specialist to create a personalized treatment plan detailing each stage of tooth movement and the approximate duration of treatment. The plan will also indicate the number of trays needed and how often they should be changed.

Preparing the mouthguards

Based on the data collected from the intraoral digital impression and the treatment plan, the SPARK mouth-guards will be made. The case making process usually takes a few weeks, during which time all the sets needed for the duration of the treatment are made.

Applying the first set of mouthguards

After the braces are completed, the patient returns to the orthodontic office to have the first set of Spark braces fitted. During the visit, the doctor will explain the correct way to use the braces, including how to apply and remove the braces.

Periodic checks

During treatment with Spark braces, the patient must have periodic check-ups every 2-3 months, so that the orthodontist can monitor the progress of the treatment and make the necessary adjustments. At each check, the fit of the mouthguards will be checked and, if necessary, minor adjustments will be made.

SPARK Invisible Braces - How much does it cost?

The cost of a Spark invisible braces vary depending on the complexity of the treatment and the number of arches that require correction. Prices are usually different for simple treatments involving only one arch and more complex ones requiring corrections on both arches. For a detailed list of prices and more information about the orthodontic treatment options available, you can consult the price list for the clinic's dental services.

Spark invisible braces can be used on both teenagers and adults. As for children, the Spark braces can be indicated even for those who have not yet fully erupted their permanent teeth. Due to the flexibility of the system, an eruption guide can be made at the level of the Spark socket, which helps to correct the position of the teeth as they grow.
In general, wearing the Spark aligners is not painful, but at the beginning of treatment, patients may experience a slight discomfort, manifested by moderate pain or pressure on the teeth and gums. The feeling of discomfort occurs due to the forces exerted by the braces on the teeth, necessary to gradually move them into the correct position. Discomfort may also return temporarily when changing to a set of Spark mouthguards, but typically disappears within a few days as the teeth adjust to the new position.
In order for the orthodontic treatment to be carried out according to the plan established by the orthodontist, and the total duration of the treatment not to be unnecessarily prolonged, the aligners must be worn between 20 and 22 hours a day. In other words, mouthguards should only be removed during meals and for oral hygiene.
